What was it like to be me in 2016?

What was it like to be me in 2016?

The Good:

Let’s start with the good, shall we?  I think the most amazingly awesome thing that happened was going on a 7 day cruise with my family in March.  We set sail out of Miami and went to Cozumel, Grand Cayman, Honduras, and Belize.  The weather was perfect, we snorkeled, swam with sharks and stingrays, and swam in a cave just to name a few.

We also went to Kure Beach, North Carolina with family in June.  It was our first time there and it is definitely a place we want to go back to.  We stayed on a National Guard base and Gordon felt at home again.

In September we surprised Anna with a weekend getaway to Pigeon Forge Tennessee.  We packed a lot of fun into 2 days!

The Bad:

In June, there was a large lay off at my place of employment which led to me looking for another job.  That was something I didn’t see coming or ever thought I’d be doing!  I started my new job in September.  Starting over is never fun.

The Ugly:

Thankfully, I can’t really think of anything too terrible that would fall into this category.  All in all it was a great year.  I’m looking forward to 2017!
