Oh my gah! I’m so excited about this new lens!!! Well, first I have to tell you about what a dummy I was. I really don’t have a clue about the photography stuff. I just randomly picked a lens that would let me go lower on my f stop value so I could get more depth of field. I just love pictures that are in focus on the subject and the background is blurred. So cool. Anyhow, I bought the AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D lens from Amazon, but when I tried it out, I couldn’t figure out how to get the images to focus. I asked a friend at work who knows a lot about photography and she was saying that it should have a switch on the side to automatically focus. And another friend had asked if it was an AF-S. I decided to look up the difference between the two and found out that I had ordered the lens that doesn’t auto-focus on my camera. Ugh! So, I returned that lens and bought the AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.8G from Amazon. It was twice as much, but let me tell you, it was worth it!!! I’ve been playing around with it all day and I’m in LOVE! So fun!! Here are some of the pictures I took, with no editing.
